Really, it means that you’re like family and that we’ll treat your car as if it were one of our own. We’ll give you the best recommendations and expert tips, take the time to explain in easy-to-understand terms (especially if vehicles aren’t your thing), we’ll get you the best possible deals, work as fast as we can and put our best people on the job like we would for a homie so we can get you back on the road safely and quickly and get your vehicle to last as long and trouble-free as can be.
We do all this because we believe that’s the best way to earn AND keep your trust. We know the automotive industry hasn’t built a great reputation. We want to break that stereotype and change your experience and how it makes you feel.

Our Story
1942
Walter Paul was born in Hellman, GA in 1942. He moved to Atlanta at the age of 16 and worked at a service station. He joined the Air Force at 18 years old and served. After returning to Atlanta, he went back into the service station work and opened up his first automotive shop in Jonesboro, GA.
1967
A few years later, he moved to McDonough on Highway 81 and opened "Paul's Shell” in 1967. The same year, his son Kevin Paul was born. Kevin grew up around the shop and learned the ins and outs of cars and the business. Kevin went to college, graduate school and worked in hospital administration until 1999.
2000
In 2000, Kevin came home and together as father and son they bought the property where Alpha Automotive is now located. They began planning to build an auto repair and tire shop.
2003
They began construction in the summer of 2002 and opened the doors of their new shop “Alpha Tire and Auto” a year later in August 2003. The business grew rapidly in that first year and they never looked back. Over the years, the industry changed and Alpha followed suit.
2008
In 2008, at the climax of the global financial crisis, people were hurting and the demand for new tires plummeted while the demand for used tires and automotive repairs grew. They listened to their customers’ needs and began specializing in repairs.
2011
In 2011, the shop stopped selling tires and they renamed the business “Alpha Automotive”.
Over the next decade, they continued specializing in diagnostics and repairs and began crossing over into European models.
2022
In June 2022, Kevin sold the shop to Northern Rock USA to start a new chapter.
